Enjoy Comfortable, Discreet Treatment and other Benefits of Invisalign®

At Dental Associates of New England, we are proud to offer Invisalign®, an orthodontic treatment that is discreet, comfortable, easy to maintain, and allows you to continue eating all the foods you love. We have helped many patients enhance their smiles using this simple, effective treatment. To learn more about the many benefits of Invisalign®, contact our Boston or Waltham office. We can fully explain the features that have made this treatment so popular among teens and adults.

Dr. Afsaneh Samadani is the orthodontist at Dental Associates of New England. She offers Invisalign® treatment, which utilizes a series of clear aligners that gradually and gently align teeth. If you are looking for a comfortable, discreet alternative to traditional orthodontics, we invite you to read more about Invisalign®.

Benefits of Invisalign®

The Invisalign® system can be used to correct many of the same conditions traditionally treated with metal braces, including gapped teeth, overcrowded teeth, overbite, underbite, and open bite.

The aligners are made of clear plastic, and are virtually invisible to those around you. Invisalign® aligners are also much more convenient than traditional braces. Because the aligners are removable, Invisalign® allows you to brush and floss normally, without having to work around brackets and wires. To keep your trays clean, you can simply brush and rinse them as part of your regular routine. You can also continue to enjoy any foods you like.

Invisalign is discreet, comfortable, and takes no more time than traditional braces to achieve a straight, beautiful smile.

Meanwhile, Invisalign® treatment time and cost are comparable to traditional braces. Invisalign® requires fewer visits to the dentist, so interruptions in your schedule are less frequent. We schedule appointments every six weeks to monitor your progress. When treatment is complete, you can expect to have a smile that is beautiful and easier to clean, helping you to maintain excellent oral health.

The very best way to determine if Invisalign® can meet your needs is to schedule a consultation at our office. Here, our dentists can evaluate your smile and determine whether Invisalign® is right for you.

Maximizing the Effects of Invisalign® Treatment

The success of Invisalign® treatment is largely dependent on your commitment to the treatment process. The aligners only work while they are in place, so it is important for you to wear your Invisalign® trays for the prescribed minimum of 22 hours per day. You will have to remember to put them back into place after eating, brushing, and flossing, and take care to avoid misplacing them. You should also be prepared for the possibility of a lisp or minor speech impediment while you grow accustomed to wearing your trays. This will subside after you become comfortable with them in place. You must also continue to wear a retainer after treatment to maintain your straightened smile. Invisalign® can correct many dental issues, but the system is not designed to correct major occlusal issues.
