Consultation

We believe in listening to our patient and empowering them with education and reassurance. During your consultation, we will discuss your dental goals, and how to best keep you comfortable as we achieve them.

Our dentists will also ensure that it is safe for us to administer sedation, checking in about your medical conditions and any medications you might take. Feel free to ask questions too.

Administration

A trained professional will administer your sedative of choice, nitrous oxide or IV sedation. With IV sedation, your calming method will be applied through your bloodstream with a quick pinch.

Nitrous oxide sedation, on the other hand, will take effect through a mask placed over your face, which allows the gas to pleasantly transition you to a feeling of relaxation.

Procedure

From dental implants to routine cleanings, time in the dental chair can be nerve-wracking. However, you can rest assured that our Boston team will keep you safe and comfortable during your procedure.

This time, it will also be much easier to experience the care you need, thanks to our safe and effective sedative options, nitrous oxide or IV sedation.

Departure

After your procedure, you will need a trusted friend or family member to drive you home. You should never get behind the wheel after undergoing nitrous oxide or IV sedation.

After you return home safely, make sure to follow any aftercare instructions — and give yourself a round of applause. While dental visits can be daunting, you've officially had a successful treatment.
