Dr. John D. Meola
Dr. Meola is the owner and director of Dental Associates of New England near Boston, Massachusetts. He has specialized in cosmetic dental care in Boston, Massachusetts and other areas of the country for more than 20 years and has worked on thousands of patients.
Dr. Meola completed his undergraduate training in pre-med at Boston College. He earned his doctorate of dental surgery from the prestigious Georgetown University, where he also served as president of the student council.
Dr. Meola is a member of several distinguished professional societies, including the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and Professional Team Physicians.
Dr. Meola also has been appointed the official dentist of Miss USA, Miss Mass. USA, Miss Teen Mass., Miss America Mass., and the Boston Celtics.

Dr. Christopher J. Maguire
Dr. Christopher J. Maguire is a general dentist who specializes in cosmetic and restorative dental care. Originally from the New Jersey shore, Dr. Maguire earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences/ Pre-Med from Fordham University in New York City in 1992. After graduating, he was selected for a healthcare internship at Bellevue Hospital in NYC, where he decided to pursue a profession in dentistry. Dr.Maguire earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1997. He went on to complete his post-graduate General Practice Residency training at the renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore Maryland in 1998. Following his residency, Dr. Maguire returned to Boston and joined the Dental Associates team in 1998.
Dr. Maguire is well known in the practice for his gentle and caring chair side manner, as well as his utmost attention to the finest details of his cosmetic procedures. If you need a little help relaxing, Dr. Maguire is licensed to perform all general dentistry procedures with nitrous oxide (laughing gas) sedation. He takes wonderful care of all children in the practice. For our adult patients who need dentures, his work is exceptional.
Dr. Maguire has made many of our patients very happy with beautiful cosmetic bonding of their teeth. Dr. Maguire enthusiastically attends numerous continuing education seminars nationally and internationally to keep up with the latest advances in dental care. He is an active member of both the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society.
Dr. Geoffrey M. Glick & Dr. Afsaneh Samadani
The team of Dr. Geoffrey Glick and Dr. Afsaneh Samadani provide Invisalign, braces, and other orthodontic services to the patients of Dental Associates of New England. They have been recognized by Invisalign as Elite Premier Providers - a distinction awarded to the top 1% of Invisalign providers worldwide. Specializing in cosmetic smile makeovers, Dr. Glick and Dr. Samadani have treated over 1,000 Invisalign cases. They treat a variety of orthodontic malocclusions, including crowding, spacing, overbites, crossbites, underbites, open bites and skeletal discrepancies. Their Invisalign patients have included members of the World Champion Boston Celtics, the New England Patriots players and cheerleaders, and the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageant winners from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Maine, and New York.
Dr. Glick earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania and holds both a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in orthodontics and a Masters of Science in orthodontics from Boston University. Dr. Glick was the recipient of the Pennsylvania State Dental Society Award for outstanding achievement in dental school, and he has lectured at numerous scientific and clinical seminars. As an Invisalign expert, Dr. Glick has helped train hundreds of other dentists and orthodontists in the use of Invisalign as a member of Invisalign Consulting Services and ClinReview Consulting.
Dr. Samadani earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in orthodontics from Boston University. An outstanding student, Dr. Samadani was awarded membership into the exclusive Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. She also completed a general dentistry residency sponsored by Harvard University at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
Dr. Glick and Dr. Samadani are members of several distinguished professional societies, including the American Associations of Orthodontists, the Massachusetts Dental Society, the Massachusetts Association of Orthodontists, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Leonard A. Waldman
Dr. Waldman, our oral surgeon at Dental Associates of New England, is board-certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He has taught at the Downstate Medical Center and the Jewish Hospital's Medical Center of Brooklyn. He is currently a clinical instructor in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Tufts School of Dental Medicine. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Waldman has been published numerous times in notable surgery journals. Dr. Waldman is a member of the American Board of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Waldman has been with Dental Associates of New England for 14 Years.
Dr. Gerald J. Maher
A graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Maher is the Dental Associates of New England expert in TMJ and facial pain treatments. He is a member of many distinguished professional societies, including the American Dental Society, the Massachusetts Dental Society, the American Academy of Head, Neck and Facial Pain, and TMJ Orthodontics, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Maher also serves on the Board of Directors for the Country Academy Children's Center and is a staff doctor at Jordan Hospital. He is a consultant for the Massachusetts Industrial Accident Board for TMJ and Facial Pain. He is also the team dentist for the New England Patriots!
Dr. John N. Govostes
Dr. Govostes received his Bachelors of Science degree from the University of New Hampshire and then went to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he received his dental degree (D.M.D.) and then later his specialty training in Periodontology. Dr. Govostes limits his clinical practice to the field of Periodontics which focuses on patient education as well as the preservation of teeth through various non-surgical and surgical therapy modalities in the treatment of gum diseases (periodontitis), as well as implant dentistry and the treatment of other oral pathologic conditions associated with the mouth. The various services offered but not limited to, are the: reduction of gingival pocketing, cosmetic correction of recession and reconstruction with various gum grafting techniques, removal of hopeless teeth, replacement of missing or hopeless teeth with dental implants, as well the augmentation of bone which is often times needed for future dental implant placement. Dr. Govostes is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Massachusetts Society of Periodontics, the Massachusetts Dental society, as well as a member of Delta Sigma Delta organization which is an International Dental Fraternity. Dr. Govostes has served the public by working in community dental clinics in Colorado as well as volunteering for Dental missions to Quito, Ecuador where he treated the underprivileged community. He also serves as a guest lecturer at the Yankee Dental Convention in Boston MA. Dr. Govostes concerns himself with his patients' comfort, relaxation, and education as well as the quality of care he provides.
Dr. Alan Tang
Dr. Tang received his doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of California Los Angeles. Dr. Tang went on to receive the certificate of endodontic specialty training at the Boston University of Graduate Dentistry. He has been a member of the Dental Associates of New England team for 4 years.
Dr. Tang is a member of good standing of the American Association of Endodontics, the American Dental Association, and the Massachusetts Dental Society.
Dr. Papadopoulos
Dr Papadopoulos received his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, Massachusetts in 1989 and continued on at Tufts to complete his specialty degree in Prosthodontics in 1991. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Tufts University Department of Post-Graduate Prosthodonics and maintains a private practice in Brookline, Massachusetts.
Dr. Papadopoulos ia an active member of the Amercian Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American College of Prosthodontics, American Dental Association, and Academy of Osseointergration. He also enjoys giving back to the community by participation in public service programs; such as "lasting Impressions," sponsored by the Massachusetts Dental Society, and "Give Back a Smile," sponsored by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Papadopoulos has restored hundreds of dental implants. His interests in dental implants and technology also led him to the development of computer software programs for dental implants.
